Position Description

You will serve as an Electrician in the Fleet Readiness Center MidAtlantic FRCMA VRT DEPT, Norfolk Production Branch of FLTREADCEN DET MID ATLANTIC PAX RIVER.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • You will anticipate problems and make recommendation for a solution.
  • You will utilize a variety of skills and initiative to overcome deficiencies in design, availability of material and the operation of test deveices to obtain specified results.
  • You will identify broken, worn, damaged, or poorly operating wiring, fixtures, and equipment through a visual check or through the use of various metered test equipment.
  • You will use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot malfunctioning circuitry and equipment.
  • You will work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and electrical maintenance and repair manuals to plan and lay out repair work and trace hard-to-locate defects.
