SUPERVISORY INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/SCIENTIST

Position Description

You will serve as the Integrated Battlespace Simulation and Test Department Head - Advanced Simulation Applications Senior Scientific Technical Manager (SSTM) for the Integrated Battlespace Simulation and Test Department Digital Analytics, Infrastructure, and Technology Advancement (DAiTA) Group, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD).

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will serve as the NAWCAD expert and lead for the development of synthetic environments and the creation of the virtual battle-space in support of research, development, test, training, evaluation, and experimentation.
• You will ensure that a full range of capabilities is available to meet the modeling and simulation and installed system test and evaluation requirements for Navy, DOD, and other agencies.
• You will plan and operate a program to provide modeling and simulation and installed systems test capabilities for exploratory and advanced research, development, test and evaluation (RDTE) programs for future weapons systems.
• You will operate and manage Navy Installed System Test Facilities to support test and evaluation of aircraft avionics and weapon systems.
• You will develop advanced methods for installed system testing, advanced mission systems sensor test and evaluation, and advanced simulation applications.
