Position Description

You will serve as either an ELECTRICAL ENGINEER, ELECTRONICS ENGINEER, PHYSICIST, or MATHEMATICIAN in the AVIONICS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, TACTICAL MARITIME SENSING BRANCH of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • You will lead high priority quantum efforts to apply new technology for projects in undeveloped areas of research.
  • You will develop quantum physicists and engineers with the aim of instilling good research practices for effective teams and project leads that are capable of realizing quantum technology from concept to project planning and execution.
  • You will contribute high-level presentations, patents, peer-reviewed publications and conference publications regarding theoretical and experimental investigations into disruptive technologies, prototype development and fundamental physics research.
  • You will engage with external quantum groups and DoD program managers in order to build relationships and collaboration opportunities through working groups, quantum or quantum adjacent conferences and direct communication.
  • You will perform project planning and execution of high visibility efforts by soliciting funding, completing milestone reports, and presenting events, results and project impacts to command leadership.
