SUPERVISORY ELECTRONICS ENGINEER

Position Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ELECTRONICS ENGINEER in the FST/MRO ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will serve as the technical advisor and supervisor within the E-2D FST (Fleet Support Team) Avionics Team, leading the Primary (Radar), Secondary Detections (IFF) and Mission Systems sub-team
• You will negotiate, advise, and collaborate with leadership and stakeholders across Portfolio Acquisition Execution (PAE) Aviation regarding policies and procedures to determine programmatic impacts and technical requirements of engineering actions.
• You will provide strategic leadership and supervision for the Primary, Secondary Detection and Mission System team, establishing technical objectives, balancing shifting priorities, and ensuring rapid response to emergent fleet support requirements.
• You will provide strategic leadership and supervisory oversight of the E-2D classified lab, ensuring secure, compliant facility operations that sustain E-2D mission capabilities and achieve readiness goals.
• You will plan and conduct in-depth avionics engineering investigations to evaluate and investigate critical system failures and to execute rapid engineering responses to mitigate fleet risks.
• You will provide technical expertise and oversight to incorporate the latest advancements in avionics technology, establishing evaluation and testing requirements to qualify and adopt new or emerging processes.
• You will lead, coordinate, and participate in the planning, development, and execution of funding and budgetary requirements in compliance with Fleet Support Team (FST) guidelines.
• You will evaluate subordinate employee performance, provide technical guidance and mentorship, and ensure full adherence to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies and merit system principles.
