INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER

You will serve as the PMA-265 F/A-18EA and 18G Radar and Fighter EW IPT Lead Engineer in the Avionics Systems Engineering Division, Avionics Engineering Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. The incumbent will lead a multi-platform, multi-system, multi-disciplinary team civilians to manage the life cycles of fire control radars and EW systems for USN, USMC, and FMS partners, whose phases vary from demilitarization and disposal of APG-65/73 to cutting-edge advanced development of Advanced EW.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the technical management of avionics system development, design, analysis, test and evaluation, production and in-service support for modifications to the assigned NAVAIR program.
- You will be responsible for the preparation and modification of avionics procurement specifications, drawings and technical documentation for new replacement or modified items of avionics equipment.
- You will lead the design modification, acquisition, integration, validation and final approval of the avionics equipment, providing recommendations for cost, schedule, and performance tradeoffs to PMA leadership.
- You will lead the review and analysis of Engineering Investigations and other field reports relating to deficiencies or problems encountered with cited avionics equipment or avionics software and component level integrations issues.
