Position Description

DON Pathways Internship Program You will serve as a Student Trainee (General Industrial Equipment Maintenance Helper) in the Facility and Plant Maintenance Division, Facility and Infrastructure Management Department of Fleet Readiness Center East-Cherry Point.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will demonstrate an aptitude for performing assigned work.
• You will receive close guidance from the supervisor or a higher graded worker when accomplishing assigned tasks.
• You will demonstrate ability to use most of the tools associated with the work/trade.
• You will perform tasks with several steps, exercising judgment to perform tasks in proper sequence.
• You will demonstrate the ability to achieve consistent results when performing the same tasks.
• You will work from plans, sketches, and detailed specifications and completion of routine tasks and adherence to instructions and accepted trade practices.
