100% Remote Position!!! We are soliciting resumes for a seasoned GS-0201-12 Staffing/Classification Specialist in the Human Capital Management Division of Naval Air Technical Data and Engineering Service Center, San Diego, California (NATEC) in San Diego, CA . This opportunity is open to current federal employees with non-competitive eligibility at the GS-12 (or equivalent pay band). While this is a fully remote opportunity, the hiring manager is willing to negotiate relocation to the San Diego area.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will provide advisory to managers in position management, position classification, staffing and compensation actions and advice including expert advice and authoritative policy interpretations on highly complex issues. You will work with the management to design, develop, implement and track both activity and HR strategic/business plans to recruit, develop, and retain the talent needed to accomplish the assigned mission.
- You will review past recruitment practices and local labor market conditions to advise on future staffing strategies.
- You will provide strategic recruitment advisory services (i.e., determining the where, how and means to find talent) to management officials.
- You will apply a thorough understanding of classification principles and concepts to interpret and apply classification standards/guides to reach sound classification decisions.
- You will analyze, develop, and administer organizational design and position management to enhance the efficiency and performance of organizations.
- You will solve human resources problems that cross multiple program lines (e.g., recruitment, classification, compensation).
- You will accomplish other duties as assigned.
