GENERAL ENGINEER

Position Description

You will serve as a General Engineer in the Air Platform Systems Engineering Division, Systems Engineering Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. There are 3 vacancies that can be executed from Orlando, FL, Lakehurst, NJ or Patuxent River, MD.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will identify and solve a wide variety of complex problems.
• You will be the Project/Program Engineer in the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles and processes in research and engineering, test and evaluation and logistics functions.
• You will provide technical guidance to a technical workforce and meeting customer requirements for products and/or services.
• You will function as a project lead, program manager, team lead or member of an integrated team/group providing technical guidance to a technical workforce and meeting customer requirements for products and/or services.
• You will manage a small team dealing with: Risk Management, Configuration Management, Data Management, Trade-off Analysis/Trade Studies, Technical Performance Measurement, Technical Reviews, Modeling and Simulation or Earned Value Management.
