SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER (METROLOGY)

Position Description

You will serve as a Supervisory General Engineer in the Navy Primary Standards Laboratory FST, Metrology Engineering Branch of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will serve as the Senior Metrology Engineer Team Leader for the FRCSW METCAL Team and will coordinate, review and approve all metrology related engineering products and services.
• You will Identify, plan, evaluate, and prescribe corrective action for metrology deficiencies/incidents.
• You will plan, coordinate, and/or conducts and solves difficult metrology engineering issues requiring substantial analysis and evaluation of causes, effects, and alternatives.
• You will coach/mentor personnel in the selection and application of appropriate problem solving calibration and metrology methods and techniques, provides advice on work methods, practices and procedures.
• You will train or arranges for the training of team members in methods and techniques,
• You will Carries out EEO policies and communicates support to subordinates.
