You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (AIRCRAFT) in the Safety and compliance Directorate of FRC WESTPAC DET IWAKUNI.

Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will provide responsive depot level maintenance, quality airframes, support equipment overhaul and In-Service Repairs (ISR) to Forward Deployed U.S. Navy and Marine Corps aircraft ashore and afloat.
- You will be responsible for Quality Assurance inspections, Job Task Lists, Work Order reviews, Type l verifications local and abroad, and managing QA responsibilities on a depot Integrated Maintenance Program line.
- You will perform a variety of duties with the planning, developing, maintaining and improving effective Quality and Reliability Activities associated with depot level maintenance, overhaul, modification, and manufacture of complex air weapon systems.
- You will recommend and initiate modifications to improve the efficiency and effectiveness.
- You will identify and write Local Command Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures as needed in order to support the line.
- You will ensure contractor compliance with all requirements related to the design, manufacturing, repair overhaul, an modernization for a variety of items for customer activities.
- You will determine root causes of defects or deficiencies, provide immediate and long term corrective action, and provide response to the Quality Deficiency Reports.
- You will conduct product, process, program, and system audits to determine compliance with applicable instructions and directives.
- You will review technical data and work specifications for adequacy and compatibility with quality requirements.
