CONTRACT SPECIALIST

Position Description

You will serve as a CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the AIRCRAFT SUPPORT CONTRACTS DIVISION, MAJOR WEAPNS SYSTEMS AIRCRAFT SUPPORT CONTRACTS DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for advanced procurement planning and negotiations for services, materials and major weapon systems programs and its components.
• You will serve as the principal contracting advisor to the various program managers providing expertise and guidance in conducting multi-million dollar contracts in support of major weapons systems.
• You will confer with contractors’ representatives when serious deficiencies are involved to resolve problems in connection with terms and provisions of contracts, termination agreements, negotiations, etc.
• You will be responsible for researching and analyzing procurement related special projects and data calls as prescribed by the Head, Aircraft Support Contracts Department.
