Security Guard

  • Position Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Responsibilities:

      • You will prohibit unauthorized personnel from accessing secured areas to maintain
        security.
      • You will control personnel access by monitoring the identification of individuals entering
        controlled areas.
      • You will limit personnel access by monitoring the identification of individuals entering
        controlled areas and allowing access to only those who are authorized.
      • You will monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and
        other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
      • You will confirm facilities, locks, alarms, fences, gates, or other barriers are
        closed/locked or open/unlocked depending on the time of day and the conditions that
        apply.
      • You will monitor alarms for the safety of personnel, equipment, and facilities.
      • You will notify emergency personnel when issues arise to assist in protecting personnel,
        property, equipment, or facilities.
      • You will assess situations to take appropriate action according to delegated authority and
        accepted procedures.
