Electronic Industrial Control Mechanic
- Position Duties/Responsibilities:
Installs, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains highly sophisticated state-of-the-art multiple integrated systems requiring extensive knowledge of multiple controlling systems, how they
interface and interact. Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains ASKARS (Automated Storage Kitting and Retrieval System), MHS (Material Handling System), Kemen Jet Engine Test
Facility, ATE (Automatic Test Equipment), Computer Numerical Controlled Machining Systems and conventional electronic equipment. Adapts troubleshooting and repair
techniques to newly installed or modified systems often incorporating unusual circuitry with limited or no technical information. Provides input to Engineering and
production personnel as to equipment procurement, and or modifications to existing equipment (i.e. on system upgrades, recommends changes that will improve process
efficiency and reduce equipment downtime). Serves as senior team member with production and other Facilities Management trades to troubleshoot and differentiate
between mechanical, electrical and electronic problems. Serves as an electronic expert in the installation, maintenance and operation of new equipment. Recommends
acceptance or rejection of newly installed systems or upgrades to existing systems.
